Our workshops and training programs have been designed to emphasize purpose, compassion and resilience as cornerstones of better mental health. Our programs are evidence-based, and grounded in years of research, showing these factors to significantly improve psychological and emotional well-being. We currently offer three ongoing programs: Second-Act Reset, Compassionate Communication, and SPARK™.
These programs are open to individuals or to organizational groups.
The Second-Act Reset Program – Making 50+ the Most Purposeful Years of Your Life
The Second-Act Reset Program is for anyone looking to clarify their “why, what and how” as they embrace middle-age and beyond. Each collaborative workshop focuses on a specific aspect of leading a purposeful life and culminates with the creation of a second-act purpose profile. Workshop themes include:
Identifying your core strengths and how to use them as a catalyst for change
Learning through living; gaining perspective from your life experiences
Mattering and belonging; understanding what roles you play, how they’ve evolved and what might be missing
Surrounding yourself with the right people; how social relationships change over time
Ya gotta give to get; ways to share your knowledge, time and talents
Shout it out loud! – Presenting your second-act purpose profile
The Second-Act Rest Program is delivered across 8 one-hour workshops. Workshops are held online, or in person, depending upon the make-up of the group, and are designed to be interactive, supportive and fun. Each participant will also receive 2 additional one-to-one coaching sessions over the course of the program.

Compassionate Communication – Finding Common Ground in Every Conversation
Compassionate Communication Training is for anyone who wants to connect with others in a more empathetic and supportive way. Compassionate Communication can also help in resolving conflicts by learning a language of common humanity and partnership.
Compassionate Communication has proven advantages for business leaders, client-facing staff and managers, front-line workers, healthcare professionals, educators or carers. This targeted training program provides you with practical tools that can be applied in any personal or professional setting. Workshop themes include:
Recognizing emotional triggers in ourselves and others
Understanding how criticism, hidden agendas, evaluation and judgement can derail a conversation
Effectively communicating feelings and needs through action-oriented language
Knowing your values and understanding how value conflicts can give rise to an imbalance of power in your relationships
Connecting to others with empathy, curiosity and understanding
Applying compassionate communication techniques in times of stress and uncertainty
Training is delivered across 6 ninety-minute sessions. Sessions are held online, or in person, depending upon the make-up of the group. Each session includes weekly activities to help you practice what you’ve learned. Participants will also receive 1 individual coaching session over the course of the training program.

SPARK™ Resilience and Recovery – Navigating and Processing Emotions
The SPARK™ Resilience and Recovery program is designed for those on a journey towards improved mental health and psychological well-being following a traumatic event. This may be a sudden injury, illness or medical diagnosis, a divorce or separation, the loss of a loved one, or an unexpected change in employment, for example. SPARK™ incorporates the latest tools and techniques from the fields of cognitive behavioral coaching, positive psychology and post-traumatic growth, providing you with effective go-to strategies to improve emotional regulation and coping skills. Workshop themes include:
Recognizing the impact of stresses and triggers; identifying situational impacts
Making sense of your thoughts and perceptions
Acknowledging feelings; learning to express and regulate emotions
Resourcing and reacting; moving from automatic to learned behaviors
Applying SPARK™ techniques and developing your personal resilience action plan
SPARK™ is delivered across 8 ninety-minute group coaching sessions. Sessions are held online, or in person, depending upon the make-up of the group. Each session includes weekly activities to help you reflect on what you’ve learned. Participants will also receive 2 individual coaching session over the course of the program.
